Dan Johnson

Head ‘Mechanic’

Dan graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007. 15 years and over 23000 consults later, he stills loves being a physio just as much as the day he started.

In early 2019 Dan launched Motion Mechanics Physio, where he is the Head ‘Mechanic’ providing high quality physiotherapy treatment for his clients.

Whilst it’s not Dan’s only area of expertise, he enjoys solving complex problems that haven’t responded to other forms of treatment, such as neck, lower back, shoulder and knee pain. He also specialises in recurrent injuries such as groin pain, muscle tears and ankle sprains.

A career highlight came in 2011 when Dan was invited to the Netherlands to work with a top Dutch Football team, FC Utrecht, to educate the physio team on solving a complex injury to a player. He has also helped a number of A-league players who have sought treatment for complex and recurrent injuries, including Central Coast Mariner and Socceroo Tommy Oar.

Outside of his work as a physio, Dan is ‘CEO of daddy day care’, where he enjoys getting bossed around by his young daughters Xanthe and Yarrow.

Dan also spends time in the Western Queensland town of Goondiwindi, where he grew up. He enjoys being in the outdoors – swimming, bushwalking, visiting the beach and snowboarding, when the opportunity arises.
